Problem
Early childhood educators were facing challenges supporting emotional regulation in the classroom for both their students and themselves. Many teachers lack practical, accessible strategies to manage strong emotions, de-escalate situations, and create a calm, supportive learning environment. Existing training is often theoretical, time-consuming, or not easily applicable in real-time classroom settings, leading to increased stress and missed opportunities for positive behavior support.
Solution
I designed an interactive eLearning experience using Articulate Rise to provide early childhood educators with practical, easy-to-implement emotional regulation strategies. The course breaks down key concepts into manageable sections and incorporates scenario-based learning, reflection prompts, and simple techniques that can be immediately applied in the classroom. Built with a mobile-friendly, intuitive design, the training supports busy educators by offering flexible access and actionable tools, empowering them to foster calmer classrooms and respond to children’s emotional needs with confidence.
Results
This training is designed to improve educators’ confidence and consistency in managing emotional situations. Expected outcomes include increased use of proactive regulation strategies, reduced reactive responses to challenging behavior, and improved classroom climate. Interactive elements and scenario-based practice support knowledge retention and real-world application, contributing to more effective behavior support over time.
